John became interested in music at an early age watching the Beatles perform and listening to rock and pop music on his dad's transistor radio. In first grade he would mimic the "Archie's" cartoon  by taking a broomstick as a guitar and stand on a fireplace mantle for a stage and pretend to perform in a band. At the age of 10, he started to play the organ, and at age 13 he switched to playing guitar. John's early guitar hero's include Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and Rithie Blackmore. At 15 years old, he helped formed his first band with Victor Romero "Renegade." Throughout the 1980's til present, John has played in various rock, pop, top 40, Christian and Croatian bands. With the revival of 70's and 80's music in recent years, John has come together with the current members of Radio-Active to form a unique band that would cover a wide spectrum of dance pop-rock music from these two decades.
