Dave Marx

Percussion/Trumpet

Dave started his music career at the young age of 7 years old when he first learned to play the violin. This spurred his interest in music and in grade school decided to take up the trumpet. While attending high school he played in various groups such as the marching band the jazz band and the symphony orchestra. He also joined the drumline starting off his love of drums and percussion.

After high school, Dave continued to hone his drumming skills by playing for community theater productions and a variety of "hired" gigs around L.A.  Dave also played  in several original bands such as “Laxia” (progressive rock trio), “Sinister Grin” (metal),and George Anthony and the Desert Sky (Country) .  These bands routinely played venues such as the “Roxy” and the “Whiskey” in Hollywood.  Some of these original bands also included Dave's brother, Jay, on bass.

Dave joined RadioActive after attending the bands first show and talking with band members about what he could bring to the group, they asked him to join the group. His experience with different styles of music and instruments brings another element of musicality to the band.
